Capacity Building for Integrated Water Resources Management

National Level Training Workshop - CLIMATE CHANGE, WATER AND HEALTH

The workshop started with valuable words of Dr. Atiq Rahman. He stated the main objectives of conducting workshop on Cap-Net. Cap-Net is a network for capacity building in the water sector among thirty countries; it is a collaboration of stakeholders from various non-governmental organizations (NGOs), civil society organizations (CSOs), and government organizations (GOs) towards working together in making the water sector more resilient.

Dr. Rabbani began by explaining the significance of Cap-Net activities in Bangladesh where fresh water resource is scarce. In Bangladesh Cap-Net was established in 2004, and currently there are ninety organizations from Bangladesh. He then introduced the session speakers with the participants and gave them a subtle idea about the topics that were to be discussed in the sessions to be followed.
